
Bart van Ark is Professor of Productivity at Alliance Manchester Business School and Principal Investigator of The Productivity Institute, an ESRC-funded research organisation exploring what productivity means for business, for workers and for communities – how it is measured and how it contributes to increased living standards and well-being. He is an internationally acclaimed economist in the field of international comparative productivity measurement and analysis, innovation and technology, and digital transformation, and his research cuts across the areas of economic growth, development economics, economic history and international economics and business.
