Tom Kirchmaier
Tom is the Director of the policing and crime research group at the Centre for Economic Performance (LSE) and a Professor at the Copenhagen Business School. His research focuses on understanding the various aspects of crime and policing, as well as on the functioning of organisations using large datasets. Prior to the CEP, Tom was with the Financial Markets Group, and the Manchester Business School. Tom holds a PhD in Management from the LSE.

Alicja is an Economist Trainee at the European Central Bank in the Euro Area External Sector and Euro Adoption division within the trade forecast and DSGE modeling team. Alicja established the ECB Trainee Research Journal of Economics and Applied Mathematics for which she serves as the Editor-in-Chief. She holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics with a focus on International and Quantitative Economics. She also holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol.

Max Koch
An ongoing theme of Prof Koch’s research has been the ways in which political and economic restructuring are reflected in welfare and employment relations as well as in structures of social inequality. More recently, he started to combine these research interests with issues of ecological sustainability, particularly climate change, sustainable welfare and degrowth/postgrowth societies. He also carries out research into promoting synergy across economic, environmental and social policies.

Zsoka Koczan is a Lead Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Prior to joining the EBRD Zsoka worked as an economist at the International Monetary Fund in the European and Research Departments. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge. Her current research focuses on within-country income disparities, migration and inequality.
