Tayfun Sönmez a Professor of Economics at Boston College, and a Fellow of the Econometric Society. His research agenda focuses on the theory and practice of market design, with an emphasis on its applications in matching markets. He is best known for my contributions to the formulation, analysis, and practical design of kidney exchange and school choice. His current research interests include design and analysis of transplant organ allocation policies, affirmative action schemes, pandemic medical resource allocation.
