Adan Silverio Murillo is an Assistant Professor in the School of Government at Tecnologico de Monterrey. His research focuses on development economics and family economics. In particular, he works on two important issues affecting individuals living in developing countries: women’s empowerment and violence. In Mexico, he worked as Deputy Director of Econometric Analysis for the PROGRESA-Oportunidades conditional cash transfer program, and as Deputy General Director of Impact Evaluation at the Ministry of Social Development.
