He is also Acting Vice Chair of the Social Security Advisory Committee and a member of the advisory panel of the Office for Budget Responsibility. His recent research has included analysis of the impact of the financial crisis and association recession, and the Government’s response, on the UK’s public finances.

Marco Ercolani is a senior lecturer in econometrics. He works on a range of socio-economic problems with particular focus on using large datasets to look into issues on health, education, work and more. In addition to using standard econometric procedures, he programs statistical packages to carry out non-standard regressions and tests.

Aytek Erdil is a Reader in Economics at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the theory and practice of market design.

Erkal Ersoy is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Heriot-Watt University. He is co-PI on an industry collaboration with BP and the manager of the Centre for Energy Economics Research and Policy at Heriot-Watt University. In this role, he contributes to BP’s Statistical Review of World Energy and Energy Outlook publications. Erkal’s main research interests are in applied econometrics. His recent work lies at the interface of applied econometrics, macroeconomics, and energy economics.
