Erkal Ersoy is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Heriot-Watt University. He is co-PI on an industry collaboration with BP and the manager of the Centre for Energy Economics Research and Policy at Heriot-Watt University. In this role, he contributes to BP’s Statistical Review of World Energy and Energy Outlook publications. Erkal’s main research interests are in applied econometrics. His recent work lies at the interface of applied econometrics, macroeconomics, and energy economics.
