Erika Szyszczak specialises in EU economic law, especially State aid and Competition law. She is interested in the interconnection of procurement and state aid law and the application of competition principles to public services (SGEI). Erika practised as a Barrister from Littleton Chambers, London, until 2017. She continues to work as a legal consultant for governments involved in the negotiations for trade agreements with the UK after the end of the Brexit transitional period and for private clients in the field of competition law.
More recently she has acted as Special Adviser to the House of Lords EU Internal Market Sub-Committee Enquiry Brexit: Competition and State aid.
