Abu is a postdoctoral researcher in economics at the Technical University of Munich. His main research interest lies in the field of development economics, particularly in the economic consequences of ethnic discrimination, mental health, endogenous formation of preferences, and the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic in developing countries. Abu holds a PhD in economics from the University of Southampton, an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Southampton, and a BSc in Economics from Queen Mary University of London.
