Kevin O’Rourke is an economist and economic historian, and is currently Professor of Economics at NYU Abu Dhabi. He was formerly the Chichele Professor of Economic History at All Souls College, Oxford. He is a Member of the Royal Irish Academy and Fellow of the British Academy, and was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Southern Denmark in 2022. He works on the history of globalization and deglobalization. His books include Globalization & History (with Jeff Williamson), Power & Plenty (with Ron Findlay), and A Short History of Brexit.
