Ronald MacDonald OBE is Professor of Macroeconomics and International Finance, University of Glasgow. His research interests span a range of topics in international finance and macroeconomics, including sustainable economic development. He has acted as an adviser to the European Commission, the ECB, the National Audit Office, the World Bank, and the IMF. He has also acted as an expert witness to various committees of the Scottish Parliament, the House of Commons Scottish Affairs Committee and the House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee.
