Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay is Reader in Economics and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Globalisation Research at Queen Mary University of London. She specialises in the economics of growth and development and the measurement of inequality and poverty. Her recent work focusses on the persistence of inequality and how to measure inequality over time. Sanghamitra is the founder of the Research Circle for the Study of Inequality and Poverty, a UK-wide research group based at Queen Mary University of London.
